WORLD AFFAIRS
THIS edition of WA. is a little late because I had a hip replacement on 19th February, and I am still recuperating. I am deeply thankful to our Heavenly Father that I came through the operation very well, seeing that I turned 85 on 23rd April. I ascribe it to His infinite grace, but also to the fact that I maintained a very healthy lifestyle since my youth. I led a clean life, I did not smoke or use alcohol or drugs, ate sound clean food according to the dietary laws of the Bible, and kept my body fit through regular exercise. We have only one body. We must glorify God in it. I look back on more than 50 years in the service of our Lord. I am firmly convinced that we cannot glorify our heavenly Father in an unfit body.
How long I shall still be able to continue with this work is not in my hands, but in His. When my hip began to trouble me, I thought that it was Him calling me to a halt. But I am getting stronger every day, and am convinced that we live in the most vital phase of world history; there are mighty prophecies that have come to their time of fulfilment. A well known writer on prophecy once said: “no power on earth is more powerful that a prophecy whose time of fulfilment has come.” I therefore would not like to stand on the side line while it is happening. I would want to be like Peter on the Day of Pentecost to be on the spot to say to the world, “this is that which was spoken by the prophets” – (Acts 2:16).
THE WAR IN IRAQ:
The recent war in Iraq is a typical illustration of such a contemporary fulfilment of prophecy, and if we really want to understand the significance, we must go right back to the beginning. Our only and surest, source is the Bible. The Arabs, of whom Iraq forms a part, are the descendants of Ishmael. We read about him in Genesis 16:1-16. Especially verse 12:
“And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren”.
I will now quote from the Commentary of Adam Clarke as given in the Amplified Old Testament: “Nothing can be more descriptive of the wandering, lawless, freebooting life of the Arabs than this. From the beginning to the present they have kept their independence, and God preserves them as a lasting monument of His providential care and incontestable argument of the truth of divine revelation. Had the books of Moses no other proof of their divine origin, the account of Ishmael and the prophecy concerning his descendants during a period of nearly 4000 years would be sufficient. To attempt to refute it would be a most ridiculous presumption and folly.”
The Arabic world stretches from Egypt in the South to Turkey in the North, and from Egypt in the West to the Euphrates in the East, and therefore includes Iraq. At the same time God promised this self same area on oath to Abraham and his descendants (Genesis 15:18 and related Scriptures). Ishmael and his offspring would thus dwell in the presence of Abraham and his seed.
In 570 A.D. Mohammed was born who would unite the Arabs under one faith, namely Islam. After his death in 632 A.D. his followers under the inspiration of the Koran attempted to conquer the world with the intent to force each and every one at the point of the sword to accept their faith. They swept everything before them and even penetrated Europe as far as Central France when they were halted by Charles Martel in the Battle of Tours in 732 A.D. Note again that they wanted to conquer the world to make Moslems of all.
But God had promised Abraham and his descendants that they would become the rulers of the world. Read Romans 4:13. This is of the utmost importance. For more detail on this, please read my book THE LOST TEN TRIBES OF ISRAEL.
Ultimately the rulership of the world will be consummated when Jesus, the Christ will return to come and sit on the throne of His father David (a descendant of Abraham) to be King over the House of Jacob (the 12 tribes of Israel) and of His Kingdom there shall be no end. This throne shall be seated in Jerusalem. And that brings us back to the Middle East, and in particular to Palestine. With the war in Iraq and the tense situation there, the eyes of the world are focused on that area.
WORLD DOMINATION:
The offspring of Esau have in the course of time infiltrated the House of Judah, consisting of Judah and Benjamin, to such an extent, that they today completely dominate them. And that is what they look like today, but still are known as Jews. The churches teach that they, the Jews, are the full 12 Tribes of Israel, and are thus entitled to all that God had promised to Abraham. This includes the rulershlp of the world.
The core of this World Empire will be the area between Egypt and the Euphrates, as promised to Abraham and his seed in Genesis 15:18 and related Scriptures (read my book). The Jews of today consist according to their own authorities, for nine tenths of the descendants of Esau. But Esau sold his birthright to Jacob for a pottage of lentils. (Gen. 25:27-34). Just as Jacob disguised himself as Esau, so likewise today Esau has disguised himself as Jacob and the Church does not know anything about it. And as such modem Esau lays his claim to Palestine, but in the back of his head his target is that whole area from Egypt to the Euphrates, and eventually the world. The Christian Church in general, and the Churches in the U.S.A, and Great Britain in particular, do not see it because they err, not knowing the Scriptures, neither the power of God (Matthew 22:29; Hosea. 4:6). They therefore support with all their resources (financial, material, spiritual) the Jewish occupation of Palestine. They think they do God a favour. They are totally deceived. Remember, basically the struggle is over world domination. It is a gripping story, and far stranger than fiction. Keep the hi-jacking of Judah by the descendants of Esau in mind. At the same time, Satan who is ‘the god of this world’ (system) which became known as the Babylonian succession of empires (Jesus called it Mammon), made money accumulate in the hands of the Jews. With that money they already dictate to the world, especially the U.S.A. and Britain.
But not only politically, but also intellectually and theologically. They saw to it that they also got control of our educational and theological institutions. Through lack of vigilance some of the leading theologians swallowed the teaching of the Roman Catholic priest Ribera on the secret rapture and the so-called anti-christ hook line and sinker. This also includes the teaching that the return of the Jews (Esau) was ordained of God.
THE JEWS AND PALESTINE:
Because the Jews claim that their return to Palestine is based on the Bible, they also claim the right to dislodge the Palestinians (Arabs) in the most cruel ways from their possessions. And remember, they see that whole area from Egypt to the Euphrates as their inheritance, and after that the world. The Arabs know it. Their resistance therefore, is both through fear and jealousy.
AFTER IRAQ:
The U.S.A. after it has won the war in Iraq reminds me of the story of the dog that chased the bus and after it had caught it, did not know what to do with it. They do not know how to handle the situation. And because their motive for the war was to protect the Jews, and also to obtain the oil, they sit with the problem that they have made the Arabs their mortal enemies. Where they are hunting one Bin Laden, tens of Bin Ladens are going to arise and many 11 Septembers are being planned. Where is their moral ground when they defend the Jews with all their nuclear weapons (weapons of mass destruction) and all their chemical and biological weapons, and all the many U.N. resolutions which they have disregarded?
RUSSIA AND CHINA:
Russia and China are the Gog and Magog of Ezekiel 38 and 39. There it is very clearly foretold that they and many nations with them, including the Arabic World and the African Nations in their onslaught on Israel, will also move against the Western World. The target is Jerusalem, from where Jesus is coming to reign. This is where the prophet Zechariah states in Chapter 12:3:-
“And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
The reason why it is Jerusalem, is that it is the strategic centre of the earth. The grouping of nations that controls Jerusalem, controls the world. By that time the U.S.A. will be completely exhausted. She was already in great economic difficulty before the war in Iraq. This war and its aftermath, cost milliards of Dollars, In addition she used the cream of her young men in it. The second world war broke the power of the British Empire. There will be no power left in the Western World to stand up to Gog and Magog. It is just here where all these circumstances are going to drive the West to her knees. They are going to ask the God of Israel to come and do it for them (Ezekiel 36:37). This is where Ezekiel 37 and the valley of dry bones will be coming in fulfilment. The world is going to witness an event that has never been seen before, namely that a whole nation (people) will come to a spiritual awakening and be filled with the Holy Spirit. No heathen power bloc will be able to stand against them. Then their King will appear, the KING of all the kings and the LORD of all the lords, JESUS THE CHRIST, the son of David the SON OF GOD the SECOND ADAM, to come and restore God’s Kingdom on earth. In the thousand years that will follow, He, and those that will reign with Him will restore this earth, that will lie at that time in total ruin. They will rebuild and beautify and adorn this earth to its original glory as it was before sin ruined it (see Acts 3:19-21). Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
