THE TOWERS OF BABEL – ANCIENT AND MODERN
NEW ZEALAND
Although this well-known story is recorded in the 11th chapter of Genesis it is not a detailed account and leaves many questions. The book of Jasher, however, tells us that at that time Abram had left his father Terah, who worshipped gods of wood and stone, and lived thirty nine years with Noah and his son Shem from whom he learned the ways of the Lord God and how to serve him and him alone. The rest of Abram’s generation, however, did not share Noah’s faith and along with Terah worshipped idols and mages. Nimrod, who was the son of Cush, grandson of Ham and great-grandson of Noah, became a mighty hunter.
It is Nimrod and his families who journeyed from the east and came into the land of Shinar which was large enough for them to build their city and their tower. The proposed plan of the tower came from the princes and great men, Phut, Mizraim, Cush and Canaan with their fa milies 1, (all descended from Ham) who went to Nimrod with their ideas who readily agreed. They would rule mightily over their enemies, wars would cease and they would not be scattered over the world. Such were their evil intentions.
Nonetheless, it was a serious transgression as they were building against the Lord most High. They built it of bricks and mortar, and fired the bricks in a kiln for additional strength as they intended the tower to be of long duration. From there they planned to ascend into heaven to war against God and his angels. In order to complete the tower they divided themselves into three parts; the first part said they would ascend into heaven and fight against him; the second part said they would ascend into heaven and place their gods there and serve them, while the third part said we will ascend into heaven and smite him with bows and arrows.2
During the building of the tower some of the builders began to shoot arrows up into heaven. Unfortunately all the arrows returned to the earth filled with blood which gave cause for the builders to assume they had “surely killed all those in heaven”. It took many days and years to build but God would not allow it to be completed, as he saw their works and knowing their hearts he descended with seventy of his angels for a closer inspection. It was a new world order which God forbade at that time.
There God confused their language the one from the other so that the families were divided and smote the three divisions according to their intentions. Those who intended to reach heaven and serve their own gods became like apes and elephants;3 those who intended to fight with bows and arrows were killed by the Lord, while the rest were scattered over the whole earth, having ceased from building the tower because they saw the evil that would come upon them.

As to the tower there was an earthquake 1 which swallowed up one third; a fire descended from heaven and burned up the second third; while the topmost third, remained – the circumference of which was about thirty miles.
These proud and arrogant people were intent upon making a name for themselves and to be the rulers of the world. This was their transgression; having no intention of honouring the Lord God Almighty; they were not prepared to trust him, hence their fear of being scattered abroad into the unknown. They showed complete ignorance in their understanding of God in attempting to build a tower that would reach to heaven – an impossible task as we well know today in view of man’s walking on the moon and other astronomical projects into outer space, none of which has brought anybody anywhere near to heaven itself!
It is said that “pride cometh before a fall” and Nimrod was killed by Esau, who had become a mighty hunter also. Esau, like Nimrod, did not intend to follow the ways of God as did his brother Jacob. Esau not only beheaded Nimrod but also the two servants with him. They cried out and when Esau saw the mighty men of Nimrod coming to discover the cause of their cries he fled towards home. Exhausted he begged Jacob for a meal for which he sold his birthright.2 Later he would remember the event with such bitterness of heart and soul the hatred would be perpetuated through successive generations for ever.
While the earth was of one language there was unity. Whether this was a peaceful unity is unlikely more out of fear of Nimrod as he was a mighty man physically and mentally. He was a king and ruled the peoples all of whom were descended from Ham. Power corrupts and the princes and great men became ambitious to the point where they planned to override the heavens and the Lord God almighty. Their plans were none other than to instigate a new World Order. Nimrod was of a similar ilk, as was Esau. They were enemies but Esau prevailed.
Esau took wives from the Canaanites, the Hittites and the Hivites which God had expressly forbidden in order to keep the seed of Israel pure. Israel was not good at obeying this law and by the time of Ezra and Nehemiah the situation was dire.  In the 9th chapter of Ezra we are told that the princes came to Ezra and confessed that the people had not separated themselves from the foreigners living in the land along with them. The rulers had been the biggest culprits. Ezra was so depressed and dispirited he tore his robe as well as his coat; he fell upon his knees and prayed to God confessing the sin of the people. Ezra’s prayer was answered in that the leaders and the people came to Ezra and confessed their sin. Then they made a covenant with God to put away their strange wives as well as the children born by them.
Nehemiah returned to Jerusalem fourteen years after Ezra. In chapter 7 we read the registers of the genealogy of the people as well as the priests, the Levites, the Nethinims and the children of Solomon’s sons. However, there were those priests who were without pedigree and their genealogy was not found . Therefore, they were considered polluted and put out from the priesthood. 3 Nehemiah found that the Jews were still intermarrying with Ashdod, Ammon and Moab, their children speaking half the language of Ashdod and unable to speak the Jewish tongue. Nehemiah cursed them and cleansed the priesthood from all strangers.
Nehemiah 13.3 states clearly the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of the Lord for ever because they failed to sustain Israel during their exodus from Egypt to the promised land. Instead they hired Balaam to curse Israel (Deut.23.3).
Five thousand years have passed since that time and we only have an approximate position of the site where that first tower of Babel might have existed. Nevertheless, Esau’s descendants continue  to fight to regain the birthright, but they will not succeed by making the world into a global village.
Today the EU, together with those who “are the enemy within ” mislead the people with their deceit and downright lies. The papacy is another enemy which seeks to have all faiths under its own umbrella. Pope Francis has openly declared that all nations should be under one government with one set of laws .
The words Babel and Babylon mean confusion which exists in abundance in our modern world. Jeremiah 51.7 says “Babylon hath been a golden cup in the Lord’s hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.”
Â
About six months ago I received a poster depicting the ancient Tower of Babel; the new EU Parliament building; a statue outside such building; and another Tower of Babel unfinished with modern architectural buildings sprouting from the centre. Surrounding the top of this tower are twelve inverted golden stars, representing the twelve nations of United Eu rope . The inversion signifies the pentagram of classic occultism. Thus, with its two “horns” pointing upwards and its “beard” downwards it is also known as the Goat of Mendes, or Baphomet, a symbol of Satan. Their new currency also depicts a woman riding a beast.
At Babel, God scattered mankind and confounded their language so they could not communicate their evil designs to one another. On Mars Hill in Athens Paul declared that God separated races and nations so they could concentrate upon seeking Him (Acts 17: 26-27). The consensus of opinion today is that we need just the opposite. The solution to mankind’s ills will come about through unscrambling the languages and uniting all nations in sc entific enterprises which will ultimately turn planet Earth into a paradise once again.
“Such was the declaration of a recent Lockheed Corporation ad. in Scientific American featuring an illustration of the ancient Tower of Babel. Touting Lockheed’s technological accomplishments, the ad. boasted that its scientific advancements were “undoing the Babel effect ” by bringing mankind together and making it possible for all to speak one language. In other words, Lockheed was countering God, the One responsible for what it called “the Babel effect.”
“International Business Machines” has also used an artist’s depiction of the Tower of Babel in some of its ads, with modern high-rise buildings protruding from the half-finished structure. Why this nostalgic return to what most people today dismiss as a myth? There seems to be an innate sympathy with Babel, a recognition that modern man is carrying on where Babel left off and is pursuing the same ambition of achieving immortality by human effort.
“God scattered the builders of Babel, but today’s determination is the opposite: to unite all nations into one new world order. God confounded the languages, but today’s technology is aimed at breaking down every language barrier. Soon there will be phones on the market which allow English spoken into the receiver in Los Angeles to come out the other end in Tokyo as Japanese.
“Dare we suggest that something is wrong? Why not encourage and enjoy what intellect and talent can accomplish? Even God acknowledged the limitless bounds of human capabilities when He said, “Whatever they imagine they will be able to perform”.
“God, however, had already declared that “the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth” (Genesis 8:21). Thus human ingenuity, as God foresaw , would create ever-increasing evil until the very survival of mankind would hang in the balance . Surely today’s threats to survival have all come from scientific genius.

Honesty would also force us to admit that the rise of urbanisation, even in ancient times, has contributed to the escalating tide of evil that threatens to engulf our werld today.
“John’s vision indicates that Babel/Babylon will be very much alive in the last days. Emblazoned across the forehead of the woman riding the beast are the words “MYSTERY, BABYLON”. That she represents revived paganism is clear.
“Most interesting of all, however, is the fact that she embodies paganized Christianity. The woman represents a world-wide religious system which is based in Rome and claims to be Christian but which has its roots in Babel and Babylon. That conclusion will become unassailable as we examine further the vision John received.”1
The statue of a naked woman sitting backwards astride a bull, outside the EU Parliament building, is alarming in that it is indicative of a coming fulfilment of Revelation 17.
Very few people are aware of the meaning behind events which are occurring in Europe, as well as in other parts of the world, oblivious to the satanic intentions of their leaders. Most people are quite happy to leave politics to the politicians even though they may have some misgivings regarding their actions. What they do not understand they ignore thereby further endangering living standards, peace and prosperity for the future.
Jean-Claude Junker Chief of the European Commission had this to say: “Leaders, or ministers need to be protected from public scrutiny, by lies if necessary. When it becomes serious, you have to lie.”
Jean Monet was a political figure and a founding father of the European Union:
“Europe’s nations should be guided towards the super-state without their people understanding what is happening. This can be accomplished by successive steps, each disguised as having an economic purpose, but which will eventually and irreversibly lead to a federation.”
II Corinthians 6 tells us that the Corinthians had become enmeshed with other peoples who were not of the same belief as the Israel people. Verse 17 says , “Wherefore come out from among them and be ye separate saith the Lord and touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you and will be a father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”
The EU poster declares “Many Tongues One Voice”. As it was none other than God himself who halted the ambitions of the builders of the original tower of Babel which has never been annulled it is perilous for men to assume they have the right to reverse that situation. The biggest danger is our failure to understand the differences that divide us endeavouring to appreciate the truths that unite us. It is the differences that are important in that we have the laws of habeas corpus which gives each individual innocence until proven guilty, while Europe has adopted corpus juris which has the individual guilty until proven innocent.
In 1793, William Pitt the Younger, stood before the House of Commons and said: “Unless we want to stand by and suffer State after State to be subverted , then we must now declare our firm intention to effectually oppose those principles of ambition and aggrandisement who have as their object the destruction of England, Europe and the world.”2
How well the members of the House of Commons received these words we do not know but they are portentous words indeed for us today, for they are indeed a strong wake-up call for us to recognise that in the EU lies the foundation for the latest New World Order.
