THE STONE
THE STONE
Encased within that antique throne
Is an older ancient stone
A symbol of our Identity
laid down by God’s decree
Of our breeding and our line
At the end of time a sign
To all the doubters, maybe thee
Who live here and across the sea
On this rock.Jacob laid his head
As he dreamed upon his bed
Looking up that heavenly stair
He saw Jehovah standing there
The Lord did him and his anoint
To carry his blessing from that point
Your descendants as the dust will be
And nations will be blessed through thee
I will protect you where ere you are
My glory will be your guiding star
Waking in terror on that sacred sod
Jacob called it ‘Bethel’ – House of God
There erecting his pillow, stoneof destiny
As a memorial pillar, for all to see
