THE ENSIGN MESSAGE

THE DECLINE OF ISRAEL

By

As an opening statement, let us understand that the nation known as the ‘Israeli State’ is NOT the ‘Israel ‘ of Scripture. Nor is it any sub-part of the ‘Israel ‘ of Scripture. For those who may think it is, please research the identity statement before reading this article as this article will make little sense otherwise.

Research proves that the Israel of Scripture is in fact now represented by the Anglo-Saxon-Celtic nations and races of the world today.

The promise was made to Scriptural Israel that it would and could never be destroyed. Israel was  made  an everlasting kingdom and no Earthly power could prevent or destroy that (all  the following  Bible  refs  are  KJV   except   where indicated):

Isa 59:21 …,My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth  of  thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith  the LORD, from  hence forth  and forever.

Eze 37:26.. Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

Eze 37:27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Eze 37:28 And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the  midst  of  them for  evermore.

Luke 1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for  ever; and  of  his  kingdom  there  shall be no end.

However, Israel COULD be punished, be brought into decline  –  it  could  and  would  be  chastised  for disobedience. In this way, INTERNAL issues of disobedience were, for example, the causes of the EXTERNAL weapon of the Assyrians and Babylonia as they overcame Israel and Judah and carried them away into captivity.

2 Ki 18:11 And the king of Assyria did carry away Israel unto Assyria, ……:

2 Ki 18:12 Because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD their God, but transgressed his covenant. and all that Moses the servant of the LORD  commanded,  and  would  not  hear  them nor do them.

l Ch 9:1 … And Judah was exiled to Babylon for their transgressions.

The fact is thus established that the EXTERNAL source of the punishment caused by the INTERNAL failing  within  Israel. This is reinforced  by  the  fact   that EXTERNAL force brought against Israel (without Israel deserving  it) would  prevail:

Isa 54:17 (KJV) No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; ……or as a more literal version puts it…

Isa  54:17  (LITV) Every  weapon formed against you  shall not prosper,

Either way it is clear – NO EXTERNAL weapon – EVER  – would  be  able to destroy Israel.

That is not to say that Israel would not suffer at their hands – just to say that these EXTERNAL weapons aimed at Israel would not be successful in destroying it. Historical examples may include the Spanish Armada, France’s Napoleon, Germany’s V1 & V2 rockets, the French (again!) De Gaulle and the gold standard, even entry into the UN, NATO or the EU.

And if it is true that no EXTERNAL weapon would ever prosper, then the converse will also be true – namely; if ever Israel was to go into decline, it could ONLY be as a result of weapon formed within Israel – an INTERNAL weapon, not an external. This principle is backed up in the New Covenant by such writings as:

Mat 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against  itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided  against  itself  shall  not stand:

Mar 3:25 And if a house be divided against itself, that  house  cannot stand.

Luke 11:17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided  against itself is  brought  to  desolation;  and  a  house divided against  a  house falleth.

All of these refer to INTERNAL problems causing an EXTERNAL result. Israel  could  only be caused  to fail from problems arising from INTERNAL sources.

It is generally conceded in the circles of this readership that Israel is indeed currently in the process of decline. We can see all the EXTERNAL forces arrayed against us and we can see in general terms the declining state of our laws, morals, standards and so on. But can we identify the major INTERNAL cause or causes that are acting to expose us to these EXTERNAL  forces?

Isaiah 7:8 introduces a 65-year timescale:

Isa 7:8 within threescore and five years shall Ephraim  be broken, that  it be not  a people.

May it be that a 65-year period defines the time it takes to break a strong people?  If we  consider  that we (Israel) are well on the way to being ‘broken ‘ and that we’re nearing the end of  a 65-year process,  then it doesn’t take much maths to work  out that  the start of the INTERNAL decline could have begun in the immediate aftermath of WW2 (2013 AD – 65 years = 1948 AD).

So what has happened to Israel to bring on the decline?

A look at Israel’s modern history will show many contributing factors some of which  are listed  below (in no particular order) along with a Biblical reference in some places to show that the factor in question is  an expression of Israel’s rebellion against the directives of God:

1) The introduction of ‘Democracy’ in place of God ‘s form of administration. The word ‘democracy’ derives from Anglicising and joining two Greek words ‘demo’ meaning ‘people’ and ‘cracy’ meaning ‘rule’, thus ‘rule by the people’. At no point in Scripture are the people of Israel entitled to choose their leaders or the laws under which they are ruled. The concept of democracy is foreign to Scripture.

2) In 1858, Jews were admitted into British Parliament, for the first time giving foreigners power over the Israelite people. Since that date, Israel ‘s Parliament and legislature has contained more and more non-Israelites – even to the point of these office bearers being sworn into power on their own books of faith (eg, the Koran). A direct result of this is the manifestation of ‘multiculturalism’ to pacify the non Israel masses living within Israel’s borders by adopting parts of their culture or practices or foods (Lev 18:3, 26; Lev 11).

3)Loss of Empire – the deliberate and remorseless drive of giving away the ‘gates of our enemies’ which God had said we would possess (Gen 22: 17; 24:60). The loss of these strategic positions (Gibraltar, Aden, Singapore…) has lead to the loss of bases and control points which to exercise Imperial power and thus the colonies the  empire established.

4)Consequent upon 1), 2) and 3), the influx of former colonial citizens of other races into Israel, leading to racial, religious, cultural and other issues in the adopted homes and leading to the increase of influence by these  non-Israelites  and  the  placement  of them into posit ions of power over    Non Israelites living in Israel lands sometimes believe they can observe their own laws  (eg,  Sharia);  (Ex  23:32- 33; Lev  18:26).

5)The churches – the so-called ‘shepherds of  Israel ‘ – ignore Scripture and preach ‘religion’ instead, leading the people further and further away from God. With their decreasing influence and relevance, the clergy has been exposed to be far from the Biblical ideal and are dropping further away by the year (Eze 34:2).

6)The ‘popularisation’ of education – what used to be learned of our own culture and religion in the subject of ‘Divinity’ has been replaced by learning about other cultures and religions in ‘Social Studies’. Other subjects have been ‘dumbed down ‘ and examinations have become ‘assessments of performance’ rather than ‘evaluations of knowledge and ability’.

7)The acceptance of theories in place of the understanding of Scripture – Think specifically of the Theory of Evolution because of its obvious impact on Gen 1& 2 and therefore of matters Biblical. But other theories come to mind – the “Big Bang” theory, the theoretical age of the universe, the  theory  that  all mankind descended from one African ‘cradle of civilisation’  and similar theories.

8)Israel joining into more and more international bodies and relationships, each one involving more and more commitment to ideals and actions directly opposite to Israel’s benefit One result is that Israel agrees to more and more international agreements, treaties and pacts which involve one-sided sharing of responsibilities, costs and commitment (2 Cor 6:14). This includes borrowing money from foreigners (Deut 15:6, 28:12).

9)Israelites are being destroyed physically and financially through their lack of knowledge of the Scriptural food laws. The current popularising of chefs and cooking shows that feature pork, duck and all the forbidden seafood directly contradicts God’s commands (Lev  11, Deut  14:3-21). The inclusion of organs, blood and offal  in menus instead of just ‘the flesh thereof ‘ adds to the confusion. The names given to food often conceal the origin. The names of the different types of fish again adds to the confusion. As a result of all these things, the health of the nation is poor, the hospitals are full, medical facilities are stretched and we have ‘all the diseases of Egypt’ evident among us (Deut 7:11-15).

10)The rise of ‘political correctness’ – the concept that it is better to generate a euphemism than to confront a problem head-on, the rise of ‘extreme’ feminism and unreasonable ‘equal rights’ which fail to take into account the basic and obvious differences in age, gender or qualification, the application of quotas to ensure jobs are staffed by a ‘fair mix’ of people rather than those most qualified  or needy.

11)The number and increasing severity of social, economic, financial and other crisis that beset the Israel establishment and way of life, many, if not all stem from not observing the finance or other laws of Israel.

12)Abolition of the death penalty and the ‘softening’ of all Scripture-stipulated punishments and penalties across the board, leniency of sentencing, the lack of restitution  to  the victim(s)  and more.

13)The increasingly  more  permissive  attitude to marriage, homosexuals, children out of wedlock, divorce, legalising prostitution,  interracial   marriages, cross-dressing and trans-genderism; (Lev 18:22; 20: 13; Deut 7:3; Deut 23: 17-18; Ezra 10: 10- 11;Deut 22:5).

14)The start of Sunday trading and the general trend away from the Sabbath being a special day to it being just another day of the week; (Ex 20:8-11; Neh 10:31).

15)Civil disobedience on a scale first seen in the Vietnam War protests and in mass demonstrations ever since  (Heb 13:17).

16)The increasing popularity of astrology, spiritism, ‘witches’ and so on (Lev 19:26, 31; Ex 22:18) and a widespread fascination with zombies, occult, magic, super-powers etc, particularly among the younger generation.

ALL of these are against the Laws of God and therefore qualify as national disobedience – an INTERNAL condition which is bringing about our punishment  at the hands  of  EXTERNAL forces.

Israel today is bringing all the evils of the world upon itself by doing exactly as Israel of old did – simply disobeying God. If the cause of all these present-day problems is disobedience, then the solution is simply obedience.

This is exactly what will be enforced upon Israel after the Lord’s return, which will be God’s answer to Israel’s decision to appeal to God for help (Isa 65:24)
