THE BIBLE, AN ISRAELITIST BOOK
MANY destroying errors have been perpetuated down through the ages by Bible teachers who should have known better. Among these paralysing and mesmerizing errors which have so injured and weakened the cause of Christ are such statements as:
a. The Bible is a Jewish book.
b. Israel and Judah are identical.
c. The apostles were Jews.
d. God will punish anyone who molests Judah; and many other like erroneous and thoughtless statements.
The fact is that there is not a verse or passage in the Bible as far as we know which supports any of these contentions. The truth is that God loves both Judah and Israel, and that He has been punishing both of them for their sins. And will save both out of their sins. But Ephraim – Israel – is His chosen. (Isaiah 41:1-9; 44: 1)
THE BIBLE IS NOT A JUDAH BOOK
Judah had another mission. This is evident by citing the authorship book by book. This is not done in any way, even remotely, to belittle, Judah. The truth will reduce these errors to their native nothingness. Error regarding both Israel and Judah, perpetuated by many Protestant ministers, is responsible for much confusion, unnecessary feeling, and unjust antagonism. The truth shall make us free, including Israel and Judah.
FACTS TO REMEMBER
a. The scribes were Levites. (See 2 Chronicles 34: 13)
b. The scribes were also historians. They wrote much of the Bible – for many of the books they gathered the material from tradition, from fragments of records and from genealogical records, and historical tabulations which had been preserved. The prophets wrote their own messages for the most part.
BIBLE AUTHORS
We record here the authorship of the Bible, book by book, and designate the tribal identity as far as possible of each author. Please note that Judah, the father of all Jews, made a minimal contribution to the Bible.
Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy: written by Moses, a Levite, not of Judah.
Joshua: an Ephraimite, therefore not of Judah.
Judges, Ruth, I & 2 Samuel, I & 2 Kings, I & 2 Chronicles: written by scribes (Levites).
Ezra, Nehemiah: Levites, not of Judah.
Esther: written by a priest -not of Judah.
Job: son of Issachar – not of Judah.
Psalms: large part by David, and part by others.
Proverbs: many were written by Solomon.
Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon: written by scribes – not of Judah.
Isaiah: a prophet, but not of Judah.
Jeremiah: of the priests and prophets therefore not of Judah.
Lamentations, Ezekiel: written by the priests, therefore not of Judah.
Daniel: story is about Daniel, written by scribes.
Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah: none of Judah.
Jonah: of an Amittai – not of Judah.
Micah: Reubenite, therefore not of Judah.
Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai: none of Judah.
Zechariah: of Reuben, therefore not of Judah.
Malachi: not of Judah.
How then can anyone say that the Old Testament is a Jewish book? Jews produced almost none of it. These are facts. The scribes were almost exclusively from Levi, and of course, Levi was not a Jew. The mere fact that any one book of the Bible is about a Jew, or the Jews, does not necessarily mean that it was written by a Jew. The faithfulness of the Bible in giving the full story of all twelve tribes – Jacob/Israel – is an assurance of its righteous origin. Modern Judah has simply appropriated much of the Bible as his by origin.
Matthew, Mark, Luke, John: of the tribe of Benjamin.
Acts: Luke of the tribe of Benjamin, not of Judah.
Romans, I & 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, I & 2 Thessalonians, I & 2 TImothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews: by Paul, a Benjaminite, not of Judah.
James: A Benjaminite, not of Judah.
I & 2 Peter: A Benjaminite, not of Judah.
1, 2 & 3 John: by John, a Benjaminite, not of Judah.
Jude: by Jude, a brother of James, not of Judah.
Revelation: by John, a Benjaminite, not of Judah.
Thus not a line of the New Testament was written by a Jew. All of it came directly from Israel, and all of it came from one tribe – Benjamin. It is a remarkable story, worthy of all acceptation and of long and diligent study, that Joseph and Benjamin, the two sons of Jacob and Rachel, the offspring of true love relationship, are almost exclusively the spiritual leaders of the world today. Joseph, Ephraim and Manasseh and Benjamin have preached the Gospel of Redemption to all nations, have printed multiplied millions of Bibles, and blessed the world with hospitals and schools.
This is in no way condemnatory to Judah. It is unanswerable evidence that God has never used Judah either in the spiritual or physical building of His Kingdom on earth. So, also, He has not used many in Israel, other than Ephraim and Manasseh and Benjamin. And we hope and believe it will, in some measure, help to remove “the blindness in part” which happened to Israel and which is due to be lifted now, since the “time of the Gentiles” has been fulfilled.
It is of the greatest possible importance that we observe that nearly all the Bible came through Benjamin and Joseph by Rachel, the love wife. The other portions of the Bible, in the main, came through Levi, specially chosen for the priesthood. Think and pray this through. It will give you a new Bible.
Remember, Judah had a different mission.
