THE ENSIGN MESSAGE

WORLD AFFAIRS

By

BEYOND THE HORIZON: A look beyond the horizon does not give a comfortable picture. We see ugly and threatening clouds. We see the lightning flashes and hear the deep and rumbling heavy thunder. Like any danger and menace it has a numbing and mesmerising effect on you.I still remember how my parents always warned me as a child not to go to near the edge of the platform on the railway station when the train comes in, because the engine would suck me in. In like manner intimidating events of the present time that we see right in front of us, are the only things that we think and talk about. We cannot see beyond the HORIZON: There is only this oppressing feeling of fear when we try and look into the future. It reminds me very strongly of the time when the spies returned from Canaan. They told about the beautiful land flowing with milk and honey. As proof they brought of the fruit with them, and two of them carried a bunch of grapes hanging from a pole on their shoulders. But when they also spoke about the giants they encountered, all the good news was forgotten and all that they could think and talk about was the giants, the clouds of doom upon the horizon.

Gone was every remembrance of all the miracles that had brought them that far. Gone were all the glorious promises that the Lord had given them. Where were all their memories of the parting of the sea and the destruction of Pharaoh and his army, the most powerful army of that time?

WE HAVE MUCH MORE THAN THAT: We here in 2005 have much more to remember. Since that time the Lord enabled the children of those who feared the giants to conquer those giants and to destroy them. Goliath was among the last of them to remain, and God again empowered a young lad of 17 to kill him with a sling and a stone and to cut off his head with his own sword. The LORD even used hornets to drive the Canaanites out of their strongholds. One angel of the Lord killed 185,000 Assyrians in one night. We need to hear more about that these days. And what about our own Blood River?

You see, dear reader, the Apostle Paul wrote that we are not ignorant of the devil’s devices. That is why God tells us in His Word that we must not forget all the wonders of the LORD. We must teach them diligently to our children. Read these words:

“Hear, a Israel The LORD our God is one LORD (the only One of His Kind): And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart.. And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.” – (Deuteronomy 6:4-7).

“Give ear, 0 my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, showing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments: And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not steadfast with God. He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through, and he made the waters to stand as an heap. In the daytime also he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire, He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths. He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers. And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness. And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust. Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness? (Please listen to my cassette or CD: CAN GOD, CAN HE?) Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? Can he provide flesh for his people? “ – (Psalm 78:3-20). “The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out, they ran in the dark places like a river. For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness: And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people; That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD. ” – (Psalm 105:40-45)

DO WE DO IT?: Do we talk about it with one another? Do we tell it to our children? How can they then believe it if they never even hear it? We rather talk at our gatherings, or socials, and in our homes about the dreadful state in our country, the economy, rising prices, the rising of the heathen, and so on. God’s Word is full of glorious promises far BEYOND THE HORIZON: But then we must believe the prophets and know to whom they are speaking. They speak to Israel and their posterity. We must know that God had made an everlasting, unconditional, irrevocable and unchanging covenant with Israel. This Covenant never went over to any other people. That Jesus Christ died on the Cross to confirm this Covenant. That this people today are the white people and the pure Israelites among the Jews. That it will never be the Church per se:

“But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel, After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts: and will be their God, and they shall be my people. “ – (Jeremiah 31:33).

“For finding fault with them (not with the law), he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egvpt: because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people. “ – (Hebrews 8:8-10}

“And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed… and thou shalt call his name Isaac, and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him” – (Genesis 17:19).

“In Isaac shall thy seed be called” – (Romans 9:7). You are a son of Isaac by birth, and not through faith. “Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac: and confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant” – (Psalm 105:9,10).

Each time when you sit at the communion table and you take that cup, you confirm what Jesus said:

“This cup is the new testament (covenant) in my blood which is shed for you,” that is for Israel and for no-one else.

“The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. “ – (Isaiah 24:3-5).

We read of no other covenant than the one God made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their literal seed.

If we are in earnest with the Lord, we must look for no other cause for all our troubles, than the one we have just read. We went and made for ourselves a completely different covenant. We broke our covenant with God and made covenants with the heathen. We made the real people of God the heathen, and the heathen the people of God. That is why the heathen is such a threat to us and is reaching out for world domination. He has already taken over our beloved country. See the results for yourself. There is no other way out for us than to do what the Bible tells us:

“If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name (that can only be national Israel, God’s name is called on no other people, see e.g. Jeremiah 14:9), shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land “ – (2 Chronicles 7:13,14).

THE ULTIMATE REST: Therefore, take serious note of the dark threatening clouds on the horizon, but do not let them paralyse you. Just on the other side the rest and the peace that awaited Israel in Canaan, was but a type. On this New Earth under the New Heavens not a single enemy has remained. Jesus is the King of kings and the Lord of lords (Revelation 11:15).Please read my book THE BOOK OF REVELATION. Jesus is coming in all his power and splendour to reign on this earth with his overcomers on the throne of his father David over a born again restored Israel to restore this earth and make it new as it was before the Fall. He will then give it back to the Father to be all and in all again.

Think of it that these new people (Please read Revelation 21) will know what the love of God means. Sinless man could never have known the bliss of sins forgiven.Man would never have known the real meaning of faith. In this coming new world all the glorious promises that are written in the prophets will come to fulfilment. Beyond the horizon the sun of righteousness is waiting to arise with healing in His wings – (Malachi4:21).
