THE ENSIGN MESSAGE

SONS OF GOD

By

Transcript from a sermon given on the 26 September 2006

I want you to take your Bibles and open to 1 John 3:1-10; (I am reading from the KJV, which says):

1) BEHOLD, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

2) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3) And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

4) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

5) And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

6) Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

7) Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

8) He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

9) Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

10) In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

What a tremendous portion of Scripture I want to talk with you today. Verse 1 is repeated several times in this portion, where it says:

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God”.

I want to speak today on the subject of: “The sons of God”.

Beloved, one of the main points in which great deception and great misguidance has taken place is when, many centuries ago, the spiritualizing of Scripture had entered into the preaching of God’s Word. And through that there were many erroneous concepts concerning the Word of God, which led thousands and maybe even millions astray. We must not spiritualize God’s Word where we can read it literally. Only in rare exceptions and that will be pointed out by the context.

Where we will be able to see that is meant in a spiritual sense. So for instance, this spiritualizing of Israel is one of the greatest errors that have ever been made. To spiritualize Israel out of Scripture, where God made a covenant, an everlasting covenant, an irrevocable covenant, an unconditional covenant, and an unalterable covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their seed – that is their offspring, which are their literal descendants.

God made this covenant to be everlasting and it still stands today and will stand forever. For this reason Jesus died and rose again for the transgressions of his people.

The great error is that of the Kingdom of God being in our hearts and that it is a spiritual matter. Yes, my brothers and sisters, certainly it is a spiritual matter in this respect, in this regard that except we are born again we cannot see the Kingdom of God. Certainly, God is a Spirit and secondly, the change must take place in our hearts, but this promise was made unto a specific people, namely, to Israel. Through God’s Word we see that God has made an unconditional promise that God would redeem Israel, that this people whom He found for Himself, and chose not for Himself nations and people of the world. That He is going to bring them back into the true relationship of sons and daughters to Himself.

For instance, let me give you an example of what terrible error has been made: See Luke 17:20-21:

20) And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (AV).

The Kingdom of God is within you, so the general teaching is – that the Kingdom of God is in our hearts and one-day in heaven, it’s all a spiritual matter. But that is not what Jesus said.

If you take the original Greek word for “within you”, it translates -the Greek word is “entos” (Strong’s 1787) and it means, “in the midst of you”.

Now just picture for you – we must always read our Bibles with our imaginations. You must imagine that scene; here Jesus stood, He and his disciples in the midst,
and surrounded by the Scribes and Pharisees. They were always on the prowl, always on the lookout where they could catch Jesus out on a word or a deed, whereby they might put him to death. They remind me of a lot of vultures always hovering around just to where the kill has been made so that they can come and scavenge the carcass.

They had hate and they had murder and they had deceit in their hearts. Now would Jesus say to such people “the Kingdom of God is within you?” What a
tremendous error, what tremendous misguidance, what a tremendous lie has been told by these spiritualisers throughout the ages. And they have deceived and misled millions of God’s people to believe the completely wrong things.

No! What Jesus said here: “Don’t look for the Kingdom of God outside somewhere, here the Kingdom of God is in your midst. Here am I the King, the King of Israel, the Messiah, here I am standing in the midst of you and here are my disciples, my followers, those I promised would sit on the twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel – (Matthew 19:28).We are the nucleus of the Kingdom.

Here is the government of Israel in your midst, here are the representatives of Israel, and you are looking for an outward appearance – an outward show. You can
extend this situation to many, many other situations and many other interpretations.

The devil is always getting us to look for something elsewhere, when it is right here before our very eyes. So the Kingdom of God was there, what a tremendous
error,a tremendous deception has taken place through all times by spiritualizing these, this tremendous statement of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I want to take you to another case, the case of Zacchaeus in Luke 19:8-10. Remember how Zacchaeus was very anxious to see Jesus and he was of short stature, so he went and climbed into a sycamore tree, verse 4, where he could see Jesus, verse 5.

Luke 19:8-10:

8) And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

9) And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

10) For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Now listen carefully and think carefully.

What was Zacchaeus?
Zacchaeus was a born son of Abraham there was no doubt about it. So he was a son of Abraham before he came to conversion, therefore, his conversion did not
make him a son of Abraham. No, the fact that he was bom a son of Abraham led to his conversion because there was something in his heart calling and seeking and hungering after God. That is a tremendous truth that one must realize. For Jesus said: “for the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost”.

But did Jesus not say to the Syrophenician woman – (Matthew 15:21-24),

“I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the House of Israel”. Did He not say to his disciples, “do not go to the heathen, enter the cities of the Samaritans not, but go rather to the lost sheep of the House of Israel”

And when you go right through the Bible, you will see God has this relationship of Father to son to Israel.

Yes,even the parable of the Prodigal son, the very same. Even after the Prodigal son had left his father’s home and went and plunged himself into the grossest of sin and squandered his whole inheritance and was about to die of hunger, the father was yearningly looking out for him all the time. And when he saw that son’s
appearance upon the horizon; the father ran to meet him and embraced him and restored him without a word of reproach; God’s love is so deep that we cannot
understand it. And God’s grace is beyond measure. Rejoice if you have a yearning in your heart for God. Know this, that it is not you who put it there, it was born
into you because you are looking for your roots. Yes, may God grant that we shall see these things?

So, therefore, when we come to our text and when we read:

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not”.

We are not called the sons of God, first and foremost, just because we have been born again. No, we have been born again because we were born the first time
sons of God.We have become through Adam’s sin we have become cut-off from our life, which was in God. And Jesus Christ came and died upon the cross that He might become our life again. So that when we accept Him we become born again and we truly become sons of God both physically and spiritually.

Let us get out of this rut into which we have been plunged. Our fathers losing the way and getting off the track, so long, long ago.And let us get back onto God’s
way, which He has laid down for us in his word. So when we read next time from Deuteronomy 14:1-2 for instance, we are the children of the Lord God, we shall not cut ourselves, nor make any baldness between our eyes for the dead, for we are a holy people to the Lord our God. And the Lord has chosen us to be a peculiar people unto Himself above all the nations that are upon the earth.

Here are the children of the Lord. The word for children is “BEN” in the original Hebrew, it means children, and itmeans sons or produce, descendants of the Lord. Don’t let the greatness and the rightness of this overwhelm you, accept it by faith, we are born children of God.

It is exactly what happened when Jesus said to the Pharisees, “I am the Son of God”. What? – You of Nazareth, you the son of Joseph the carpenter, and Mary the country girl! You telling us that you are the Son of God. That you are God, what blasphemy, let us stone Him, put Him to death because He’s destroying the whole fabric and structure of our faith. Yes, they had become misled to such an extent that they were far removed from God’s real purpose.

So, let us dare to take God at his word and believe that we are born sons of God. But we need to hear this to get back our life, which we had, in God, which we lost when Adam died. Yes, spiritually, yes and eventually also physically. Because the physical life and spiritual life, they go together. That is why there is a resurrection. That’s why God is going to resurrect us so Jesus had to go the full cycle to be born, to live, to live without sin, to die for us upon the cross and to rise again to conquer death; because the wages of sin is death -(Romans 6:23). So we still have those wages and that death upon us. Although we are born again, we still have this old body like a block and tackle [yoke] upon us and which keeps us back and leads us into sin because that is still Satan’s domain in which he can operate. But the moment we have been resurrected then we are finally and at last complete without sin. Then God can commence the endless ages of his divine purpose of which we know so little, but praise God, as it says in – I Corinthians 2: 10-14, that God has revealed it to us by His Spirit.

Hallelujah!

Blessed be the name of the LORD. Consider this, go on your knees and ask God to reveal this unto you. And I again come back to Deuteronomy 14.

Deuteronomy 28, that wonderful chapter of blessing and of chastisement – of blessing when Israel obeyed the voice of God and of punishment if Israel disobeyed.

Let us read: Deuteronomy 28:9-10:

9) The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
10) And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee. (AV).

Isn’t a child called after the name of his father? Certainly, because you are born out of that father. So, we are born out of God.That is why we are called by the name of the LORD.

Will you realize that Israel is the only people in the Bible God have ever called “My People”. He has not called the Hittites, Jebusites, the Moabites or any other “ites” – He has not called them “My People”.

But He has called Israel “My People”.

Now, if we go back to Matthew 13:38, here we find exactly the same statement again, and so right throughout God’s Word.

Matthew 13:38:

“The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one” (AV).

So, the children of the Kingdom, the original Greek is “a born one”, a physically born one, (Greek word here “huios” # 5207, sons), child or an offspring, of the Kingdom and the tares are the children (same Greek word “huios”) born ones of the wicked one. So not only has God got a seed upon this earth, a literal seed, but also so has Satan. That’s why Jesus could call the Pharisees, the sons of the devil – (John 8:44). Here again the general teaching is that we all, if we are not converted, are children of the devil. What an erroneous teaching!

What a result and a consequence of the blind leading the blind and both are falling into the ditch. Here in John 8:44, Jesus said to the Pharisees, you are of your father the devil and the lust of your father you will do. That is why Jesus said, to these Pharisees in Matthew and in Luke: – “you generation of vipers, you serpents”.

Yes, there is a seed of God upon the earth and there is a seed of Satan – that is the final conflict we are about to face before Jesus comes. And that’s why I trust God that He will use even this message to set off a spark in your hearts and your minds, that you will search God’s Word afresh and realize what a wonderful word this old book of the Bible is.

How practical it is, it is not just a spiritual book, certainly the spiritual is the most important, but God created for Himself a physical people upon this earth. Has God got nothing to do with the physical? Yes, indeed, we, our bodies, are the temples of the Holy Spirit and God is coming, as He intended, to dwell in our bodies. God has intended to create for Himself a family here upon this earth.

One thing before I go to my next Scripture, I must read to you: Malachi 2:14-16. Read this carefully, that is how God’s Word works. Too many of us have been misled and have been too lazy to search the Scriptures.

Malachi 2:14-16:

14) Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.

15) And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.

16) For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously. (AV).

As it says in the “Amplified Old Testament”, because “you sought a godly offspring” – for where it says: “God looked for a godly seed” – A godly family, a godly offspring.

Now, when we go, for instance, to the family tree of the Lord Jesus, and we come to Luke 3:38, we see there:

” Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.” (AV).

So, if we take that family tree, back and back and back, it will go right to the beginning. And that Adam was the son of God, again, not anything else, but the Hebrew word “BEN” – the born one of God. Adam was born out of God, and we came exactly the same way. There is a godly seed in our hearts that cries out for God. That is why it says, concerning Israel in: Isaiah 51:7:

“Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings. The people in whose heart is my law”.

Listen to me, you who are of Israel, even before you came to the Lord Jesus Christ, even from your earliest youth, when you began to have understanding. You knew deep down what was right and what was wrong. We just ignored that voice, but that voice was there to tell you what was right and what was wrong because you were born with that seed in your heart. O, I cannot emphasize this enough that God has got a godly people with whom He wanted to live and dwell here upon this earth. That is why God created man in his own image and in his own likeness because God wanted a family.

God said about Israel in: Exodus 4:21-22:

21) And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn. (AV).

“Israel is my son, even my firstborn” Why spiritualize this? It is literal. I know, it is tremendous to contemplate, it is tremendous to really think deeply through on this, that is the fact Israel is “my son, even my firstborn”. God is not going to abandon that. God is not going to allow Him to be robbed of that by the devil. No, what God has intended in the beginning, God is going to complete and for that He sent his own Son to die upon the cross. God paid a tremendous price for this. That’s why in Jeremiah 31, that wonderful chapter about the New Covenant which we understand so little because we have pondered and meditated upon it and prayed on it and about it, so little. It says here in:
Jeremiah 31:9:

They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straightway, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn. (AV).

“I am a father to Israel and Ephraim (Israel) is my firstborn”.

Doesn’t it bring a tremendous spark in your heart when you think what did Jesus teach us. He taught us to say: “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name”, “Spiritual Father”? Yes, but also “Physical Father”. We have the seed of God in our hearts, but just in a moment I’ll come back on that seed.

Let us read also: Jeremiah 31:20:

Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD. (AV).

My dear brothers and sisters, see the condition of the world. See the heathen raging; see Israel in decline; see how the heathen are gaining in strength by the day. Israel is going back in strength and in resistance day by day, we are outnumbered, we are outmaneuvered. The enemy has stolen even our weapons from us and is soon going to use them against us. And they are going to flood us (as they think) with their multitude and numbers and because we [Israel] are in such a decadent state and seems as if God has abandoned us, as it says in:

Ezekiel 37: 11:

Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. (AV).

God is a covenant keeping God and God is our Father and as a father pities his children, the LORD pities us, as it says in Psalm 103:13. Surely I will have mercy upon him says the LORD, for he is my born child – Israel is God’s born child. And Jesus paid for our redemption with his precious blood.

Hallelujah, Blessed is the name of the LORD.

Now let us go back to our Scripture, which we read together:

1 John 3:9:

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. (AV).

That word “of” is from the Greek word “ek”, which means “out of”, “out of the very midst of”. We are born out of the heart of God. We are God’s born ones. We are God’s offspring.

Let us not commit sins, – that word “commit” means “practice sin”.

No born child of God, even before his new birth, can practice sin, just continue in sin and without a voice shouting, demonstrating, pleading inside us – saying My son, My daughter, don’t do that, that is not right. You are not happy in what you are doing but you are doing it because there’s a compulsion of the devil in you because you have not come to realize that there is a way of escape through the blood of Jesus Christ.

“Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin —

Read further –

— for his seed remaineth in him and he cannot sin because he’s born of God. “His seed remaineth in him”.

What seed is that? The Greek word is “sperma” the male seed.

If you consider this, it knocks you down to the floor. God’s seed is within me. I am God’s child. I have lost my way! That’s why I feel a stranger in the world and in the circumstances in which I am. Answer the call of the seed because God sent his Son, his only begotten out of his own bosom to come and die for you upon the cross.
To pay the price of all your transgressions and to call you back and say: “Come home, come to yourself like the prodigal son and say I’m no longer staying here eating pig’s food”. Pig’s food for my spirit and my soul, devouring this book and listening to that teacher and that philosophy and going back to the Bible – I’m going to let God speak to me and I will find rest for my soul.

Come ye, all ye that labour, that are heavy laden and I will give you rest.

Yes, Jesus will give you rest when He comes and brings his peace to your anxious heart. Yes, He will arise and speak to the storm in your life. Peace, be still. My brothers and sisters, if not in this life because my life is almost over, but definitely, if you heed this call you will tell me one day in eternity, I listened to that voice. And I proved that it is true -I found rest for my soul.

The essential thing we must do is, come to the full gospel -to the full gospel that God made a covenant in the beginning with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God is going to complete that [covenant]. Yes, God is going to bring salvation to Israel. I refer you now to Numbers 23:21.

I know that this might sound to you very sketchy and indeed it will be sketchy, because I’m only a human being. God is in this old vehicle which is not perfect to bring to you this eternal (Hallelujah) – life giving word. So I’m showing you Numbers 23:21. That is the hireling prophet -Balaam who was hired by Balak, the king of Moab to curse Israel. But God compelled him: instead of pronouncing a curse upon Israel, to pronounce a blessing, even if it was against his (Balaam’s) will.

Now consider this carefully, read Numbers 23, the complete chapter, and picture for yourself this whole situation. Here was Israel, the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Jacob certainly was not a perfect man. Jacob also full of deceit but my brothers and sisters, he was God’s chosen vessel and God was going to complete his purpose through Jacob. And so, we read in:

Numbers 23:21:

“He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.” (AV).

Now there are many, many wonderful things flowing out of this, but let us just see this. He has not beheld iniquity in Jacob. What is iniquity? Iniquity is sin, is wickedness according to “Strong’s” and so is also “perverseness”. He has not found perverseness, that is wickedness also according to “Strong’s”, it is sin according to Gesenius. God has not beheld, so God looks at Jacob through His ultimate purpose and that He will fulfill that purpose. No devil in hell can stop Him from that because He has paid the price for it. Nobody can point a finger at Him and say that you have bullied us – You have used your superior strength to attain your objective. No, I’ve paid the full price for Israel’s sin. Therefore, in faith God spoke through Balaam and said

“He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath He seen perverseness in Israel”.

In other words, God has Israel’s unconditional redemption, God’s unconditional promises, God’s unconditional grace is in the heart and mind of God. And that is the story and the history of the Bible.

Say, for instance, the epistle to the Romans, those Romans were Israelites. Where Paul went, as the other Israelites [Apostles] went, to the lost sheep of the House of Israel. To go and tell them that the price has been paid in full. Come back, My people, come back. You don’t have to do anything. You’ve just got to do what the prodigal son did and say: I will arise and go to my father. The Father is waiting for you.

Romans 4:5:

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. (AV).

Only believe, even as David also describes the blessedness of the man unto whom God imputes righteousness without works. Saying, blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven whose sins are covered. Yes, covered by the blood of Jesus. Forgiven the iniquities because of the merits of Calvary. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD will not impute sin. It was in that sense that Balaam could have pronounced that prophecy, “He (God) hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither has He seen perverseness in Israel”.

Yes,God is looking to the ultimate goal. God is looking to the ultimate outcome. So let the devil throw Israel about, yes, let the devil make Israel to sin and be disobedient and certainly God will be there to punish them. Yes, and did they not receive punishment and did they not go into two captivities? Did the heathen not cruelly deal them with? Are we not being cruelly dealt with today?

Is there a man or woman in Israel that does not carry the scars of sin in their own bodies, in their own history and in their own circumstances? Yes, indeed its sickness, its disappointment, its bankruptcy and its divorce. Call it what you may, we’re certainly a chastised people, but our ultimate redemption is assured. Just come and accept it,just come and receive it – it’s unconditional.

At least, I trust that I have put you on the way. Just see it this way and read God’s Word in this light. And He will understand. And I have many cassettes that can help you. I’ve got many books that can help you. Just contact us and God will do the rest by His Spirit. Praise his precious Name.

I’m reading to you from Romans 11:25-29:

25) For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. (AV).

“Until the fulness of the gentiles has come in”. That’s another deep proof, but don’t let it bother you at the moment.

26) And so all Israel, – — – – (Yes all Israel – which includes you my dear Israel brother and dear Israel sister).– – – – shall be saved: – – – –(It includes your children. However far away that may seem).– – – – as it is written. There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.

So turn away ungodliness from Jacob: can it be stated more plainly than this? Yes, that’s why Balaam could say I see no iniquity in Israel.

27) For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

28) As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes. (AV). (The father’s Abraham, Isaac and Jacob)

29) For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance – without repentance.

Let me read to you a few verses, for instance in Isaiah.

Isaiah 43:25: (listen to this carefully, read it in faith and see)

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. (AV). (Isaiah)

Isn’t that a fulfillment of Balaam in Numbers 23:21?

“I will blot out your transgressions and will not remember your sins”.

No, [says God] I’m not unfair, I’ve paid the full price. I’ve sent my Son to die on the cross – I’m not unfair, I’m keeping my promise, I’m keeping my covenant.

Hallelujah.

Isaiah 44:21-23:

21) Remember these, 0 Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me.

22) I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.

23) Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel. (AV).

(Verse 21) -Yes, you have not been forgotten of Him.

(Verse 22) – Come on my brothers and sisters, do as the prodigal son did. Stand up, rise up and turn your back on the pig’s food and turn your face towards the Father and start walking. He’s waiting for you.

(Verse 23) – Read Romans chapter 8 from verse 19 to the end. You will see how all creation is groaning and travailing in pain. Yes, because the curse went even into nature, yes, nature would be revived, the thorn and the thistle will be removed. Yes, the animals will lose [their] ferocity. Yes, peace and rest will come to this earth even to the very nature [creation] itself.

Yes, even the sun and the moon and the stars looking down upon this earth and now I’m speaking spiritually. Yes, but you will understand, because all nature [creation] will get back into harmony with God. The world has not even dreamt of the glory that shall come. That we shall see upon this earth, yes, how there will be abundant harvests.

Amos 9:13:

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. (AV).

O, there shall be no more death, and the tears shall be wiped away. Therefore, there shall be no more separation there shall be no more estrangement from our God. We will have come back and God will again be able to walk and commune with his Adam upon this earth in the cool of the evening. And He will again be able to converse with us because He has created us to be his family and He’ll again be able to, as it were, to take his sons and his daughters upon his knee and to commune with them.

Amen!

For Travellers on Life’s Sea

“Each man is Captain of his soul
And each man his own crew,
But the Pilot knows the unknown seas,
And He will bring us through.

So Ho! for the Pilot’s Orders,
Whatever course He makes,
For He sees beyond the sky line,
And He never makes mistakes.”

Jesus Christ. “our Pilot,” the same
to-day, yesterday and for ever.”
