IF THE FOUNDATIONS BE DESTROYED, WHAT CAN THE RIGHTEOUS DO? (Psalms 11:3)

By

(Sermon given at Orange Street Congregational Church, London)

This is a question we need to take to heart.

AS I was walking around London recently, I looked at the scenes upon the streets of this great city and that verse came alive to me because, at every hand, the foundations are being destroyed. Walk through London any time of the day but especially at night, and you will see every kind of abomination and wickedness that the Word of God condemns, not just being practised but openly flaunted in our faces today.

It seems that the power and the strength of the wicked has become so great that the righteous dare not criticise, speak out or condemn the things that we are seeing round about us.

I looked around and saw some of these things and I said to myself, is this really the royal London of which we speak, is this the most Holy Mount Zion that God says He loves, is this the place indeed where He has set His seat of authority?

And I thought to myself, is it little wonder that just a few years ago, the Coronation Stone, Jacob’s Pillar was removed from its position in Westminster Abbey, that Royal Peculiar and taken north of the border to Scotland. In days of old when the people of Israel and Judah gave themselves over to wickedness of idolatry and abominations, do you remember what happened? The Glory Cloud of God’s Presence departed from the Temple, it hovered over the outskirts of Jerusalem and then it was completely withdrawn.

What we have seen is the withdrawing of the cloud of blessing, the Hand of God. Eventually the people can become so wicked and evil that God gives them over for a little time to their own devices in order that they might be brought to heel.

We have a responsibility. We look at those people out there. It is easy for us to condemn their sinful lifestyle or some of the things that they are doing. But the question really is what can the righteous do about that? What are we going to do about it?

In Jeremiah chapter 6:16 we are told what to do in this current climate. I know we are few in number yet we constitute the righteous remnant in this city and in this land:

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls….

We must stand for the Old Paths, the Old Ways, the Old Standards, the ways our fathers and our grandfathers and our predecessors walked. We must stand for those things, no matter how difficult that might become. We must stand up, occupy for the Lord Jesus, contend earnestly for the Faith and not go with the trend of the times.

Everywhere I saw, as I was walking back to my hotel that night, a number of drunken people, and drunken young people! Concern about drunkenness in young people is currently in the newspapers, about binge drinking and the national epidemic of alcoholism and all that it is costing in manpower hours, money lost and stress upon the medical services in the land.

I thought, there’s nothing, nothing that can happen around us that God’s Word has not already spoken; there is not a thing that we can see or turn up in a newspaper or watch on television that God’s Word has not predicted. God spoke to His prophet two and a half thousand years ago; and this is what He said concerning Israel Britain at this time

“Woe to the drunkards of Ephraim whose crowning glory is their shame, who rise up early (I’m paraphrasing now) to drink until it is time to go to bed, and they get up the next morning and do the same”.

The prophet Amos talked about the women of latter day Israel, saying that they couldn’t consume enough drink,

“Bring it to us in bigger bowls, bigger containers, bigger glasses”.

If you read that shock report on alcoholism in our nation, women are degenerating more into this than the menfolk in our land.

God’s word is right up to date. So what are we going to do? First of all we are going to stand for the infallible Scriptures, and they are infallible. You cannot stand for a scripture that contains errors, mistakes, contradictions, legends or fairytales.

What is the testimony of the Word concerning itself? II Timothy 3:1-5 says,

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.

That is the era that we are living in today, but what does the Apostle say to his young apprentice who is coming up to follow him, Timothy? On very similar lines to what Jeremiah says, “stand ye in the old ways”. Paul says in II Timothy 3:14,

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them. And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man (or woman) of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The Bible, which is available to all, is a divinely inspired Word. “Theopneustos” is “God breathed”. God inspired every one of the authors. It is absolutely infallible and inerrant from Genesis to Revelation. Your Bible does not contain the Word of God, your Bible is the Word of God. Because, if it only contained it, it could contain other things as well. That is how the subtlety of the modernist rationalist theologian gets that point across – “0 yes,” they say “the Bible contains the Word of God but it contains the thinking of man, it contains traditions and legend and myth as well”.

But we don’t believe that, we believe what our forefathers believed, that right from the very first word in the book of Genesis to the last Amen in the book of Revelation it is a true word and it is without contradiction and mistakes.

You will not find a Moslem Imam or Mullah coming on the television and saying that there are a few mistakes in the Koran, that Mohammed wrote a few contradictions, or their books can err; they believe implicitly in their scriptures.

You will not find a Hindi or a Sikh or the followers of any other false world religion casting doubt on their sacred scriptures, however erroneous we might believe them to be. They believe in theirs absolutely.

That is why they are advancing, that is why we are retreating, because we do not have confidence in that which we are supposed to. The reason that the ordinary masses of the people in Israel Britain today do not have that confidence is because for almost 100 years the seeds of doubt and disbelief of Higher Criticism and Bible-denying modernism have undermined our faith.

It is sad that sometimes, when a television programme blasphemes the Lord Jesus, there has been more protest from Muslims than there has been from the Christian leaders in this land.

We have come to a sad and sorry state. Whether people mock or laugh or scorn we must say this is the standard of righteousness, this is the Book that we live by, this is the book that shows us everything. Paul said to Timothy, all you need to know is in there. It is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, for instruction. It is all in the pages of those 66 books of your Bible. (II Timothy 3:16)

A people that have moved away from the infallible Scriptures will fall victim to the trends of the times.

Why do you think that the Episcopal Church in the United States of America voted by a two-thirds majority to the elevation of a gay clergyman to be a bishop in their church in New Hampshire? Because they were particularly bad or sinful or wicked? No, but because the standard of the Word of God had been overthrown. They were not making their decision based upon an infallible Bible – they were making it on their emotions and on the trend at the time. That is why they voted as they did.

If you lose the anchor of a ship, you will drift in all directions; that is what has happened to us today in this lovely land of ours. We have lost the anchor of the Word of God and we are drifting all over the place and wickedness is exulted.

A conference was called in October 2003 to discuss these trends within world wide Anglicanism and it is a sad reflection that the opposition to wickedness and the stand for Bible truth is not coming from the Israel Identity section. It is not coming from the Anglo-Saxon world within Anglicanism today; it is the clergy and the bishops from the coloured churches, from Africa and the Third World who are leading the opposition to these immoral trends in the Church.

That is a sad commentary because we have moved from the authority of God’s precious Word.

Let me say something else, we must stand for one version of the Bible, and that version is our Authorised King James version of the Scriptures. I believe that God moved in an especial way to bless that particular translation. We know that the great reformers Tyndale and Wycliffe and others did great work in translation, yet we believe that it reached its apex in this wonderful book that we have in our hands. Our Authorised King James version is based upon the Received Text.

Every other version is based upon defective manuscripts. Why did we have to wait until some monk found an old tattered manuscript in a waste paper bin in a monastery in the Sinai desert and suddenly it is taken up? Why should people believe that the Sinaiticus manuscript is more accurate, or some other manuscript that was found in the dusty archives of the Vatican in Rome? Why believe that the Vaticanus is more authoritative? Because Rome wanted to move away from the authority of the Received Text as we have it in the King James Bible.

Every one of these other manuscripts is defective regarding the essential Divinity and Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. These so-called Bibles are defective in regard to His blood Atonement and in regard to many other things. Many verses are omitted from the Sacred Scriptures.

We must stand for the King James Bible. The men who pursued the new translations in the initial stages, Westcott and Hort were notorious. They did not believe in verbal inspiration, they practised Spiritualism or channelling, they were Romanisers within the National Church, with their devotion to Mary.

This book is the book that came out of the Reformation, this is the book that was used in every blessed revival that this land has had. This is the book that was used by our Puritan forefathers, by our Methodist forefathers, this is the book that God used to bless. A revival has not come from one of these false defective bibles.

What can the righteous do? Stand for the infallible Scriptures, and in our position stand for the Authorised Version. Never move away from it.

I preach at many Full Gospel Churches, and I go with the King James’ Version. Some people in the congregation may use a New International, or a Good News Bible; there are four or five different versions. I have been to meetings with my Authorised Bible and someone has read from some other version, and I can’t make head or tail of what they are saying, so I know the reason immediately.

That causes confusion. There are not forty different versions of the Koran; again we can draw the contrast. So let us stand for those things that our forefathers stood for.

Let us go to the book of Acts. We need to stand for this today because things have been changed so rapidly. We need to stand for the exclusivity of Christ in Salvation. In Acts chapter 4 the Apostle, who is described in verse 5 as St Peter, was filled with the Holy Ghost when he said these things, he did not make it up because it sounded good. Peter said,

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 (AV)

The trend of today is multi-faithism, syncretism, let us all merge in together. Christians should not offend people if they are making their way to God through Buddha. If that is their experience, let them go that way. Let them go through Mohammed. Don’t you know that there are many different pathways that lead to God? Jesus is just one religious teacher among many.

That is a deception of the Adversary. Our Mighty God and Saviour claimed exclusiveness for Himself. The Lord Jesus said to His hearers in His day “I am the way, I am the truth, and I am the life”. (John 14:6) He didn’t say “I am one of the ways one of the truths, one of the lives”. He said “I am everything, outside of me there is nothing”.

Jesus talks about the Shepherd of the sheepfold in that lovely chapter of John 10, verse 1,

“I am the door of the sheepfold, if any man would enter in let them come through me”.

He talks about others who would try to climb over the wall of the sheepfold, who would try to get into the Kingdom by some other method. He says they are nothing but thieves and robbers –

“I Am the Good Shepherd. The good shepherd giveth his life for his sheep” .

All these so-called holy men of other world religions, not one of them died for our salvation. Some of them may have died as martyrs for their particular religious viewpoint, they may even have suffered a violent death. Joseph Smith the leader of the Mormon Church died by the hands of a lynch mob, but he died for his own crimes. He didn’t die for your sins and mine. Only One who was divine, who came from glory, divested Himself of His mighty power and took upon Himself a flesh and blood body like unto ours. Only He was the one who set His face like flint towards Jerusalem, went from Bethlehem’s manger to that stake at Calvary and was crucified and poured out the life that was in His precious blood “just for the unjust” in order that He might bring us back to God.

He is the only way of Salvation; Jesus paid it all. We owe all to Him, not to Mohammed, not to Buddha, not to Mary, not to the Pope or anybody else. Nobody else washed your sins away except the Lord Jesus.

You may have heard the story of the little old lady somewhere down in the south of Ireland. She had been converted and had been saved out of the darkness of Roman Catholicism. She lay in a hospital bed about to die and of course her relatives sent for the priest. They said “Let’s bring Mary back to Rome; let’s get her back into the one true church, in case she dies as a heretic”. And the priest came subtly, and he said to her, “Dear I have come to help you on your deathbed. I have come to forgive you your sins”.

And the little old lady was just as wise by the anointing of God’s Spirit, she said to the priest, “Give us your hand”. And he smiled, as he thought he was making progress. She looked at the hand all over and she said to the priest “You are a fraud, you’re a fake, you are an impostor!” And he drew back his hand angrily and he said “What do you mean?” She said ‘The only one who can forgive my sins is God and Jesus Christ is the one and only Saviour”.

We must stand for that. The day could come when it will be against the law to preach these things. There are wicked people in high places in church and state even now, and through this evil European Union who seek to frame mischief by a law who would seek to forbid us from saying that Jesus Christ is the only way of Salvation. Already they are harassing the little street preachers, those who would give out Gospel tracts. We say that’s not our way of doing things, maybe they are too strident, too forceful. My friend, they start with little people like that. They try to portray them as eccentric and when they have mopped them all up they will come into our churches, sent to spy out our liberty. They will hear what I am preaching or what somebody else is saying, or read what is in our magazines and they will come against us.

So let us work while it is day, before the night comes. And let us stand for an infallible inspired Scripture and for the exclusivity of the Lord Jesus Christ in Salvation.

If we go to Galatians here is another command to stand. Jeremiah wants us to stand in the old ways, Timothy has been exhorted by Paul, this is Paul exhorting God’s church at Galatia,

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ bath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1 (AV)

What was the yoke of bondage? They were entangling themselves, they were adding to the finished work of Christ. The Galatian church had been deceived into a mixed pathway – part by grace and part by works. They were adding works of righteousness and other things to the finished work of Christ for Salvation. Paul says, if you do that you will bring yourself back into spiritual bondage again.

We were freed from the yoke of spiritual bondage. There are few places we can say it now today, but there are a few little churches that stand for truth. We were freed from a terrible yoke of spiritual bondage at the time of the sixteenth century Protestant Reformation. Everyone of us should thank God for the Reformation. We live in an era where people are ashamed of it today; they tell us it was a terrible mistake and awful schism that rent and tore the body of Christ, an error that we have to repent of today. And most of the Christians in this land will not even use the name of Protestant any longer. They say, we are not Protestants we are just Christians.

Now a Protestant is not one who merely protests against the errors of Roman Catholicism, but the original means a witness against error and a witness for the truth of the things contained in Holy Scripture. It is not a negative phrase, but we have allowed the enemy to put that spin upon it today and so we are almost ashamed of what happened in days of old.

And of course we have every year a week of prayer for supposed Christian union in the month of January, and we have the misquoting of the great high priestly prayer of the Lord Jesus in John 17, “Oh let them all be one, Father”. But He was praying about the true believers! He wasn’t praying about anybody and everybody, but all the true believers. We are all united on the great cardinal truths of the Scriptures. We have the real spiritual ecumenism today. Especially, we who have embraced the Israel Kingdom message; we are drawn from so many different backgrounds. I was in the West Country preaching recently. My hosts and I went to an Anglican Church on Sunday morning. I would not have gone, but for the fact that it was a very plain service. It was a 1662 Prayer Book Service, which is very hard to come by today. The readings were from the Authorised version and there were no stained glass windows.

We have that unity within us that is not the false unity that is being used today. For a hundred and fifty years, since the days of the Oxford Movement, the ritualistic high church movement has contrived to subvert and pervert, to turn over the Anglican church and take it away from its 39 Articles of Religion and its Prayer Book worship and bring it back into the embrace of Romanism. They have gone a long way towards success. Modern service books are, some of them, little better than Mass in English and they have brought back all the Roman error and vestments. The leaders of that apostate Church of England, if they could find a way for some of them to stay with their wives and could find their way around one or two little problems that remain about papal infallibility, they would go back to Rome completely and totally.

But we must remember the great sacrifices that were made in order that we might meet and worship God. Holy men and women, wealthy people, titled people, bishops like Latimer, Cranmer and Ridley down to humble peasants and innkeepers, old people in their latter years, little children, teenagers, right down to the little baby who was burned with its mother and grandmother in St Peter Port, Guernsey. Three hundred Marian martyrs; do we forget the burning at Smithfield? Do we forget the blood of the martyrs today?

Stand fast in the liberty where Christ has made us free and be not again entangled with the yoke of bondage.

If you are a church that is a leading player in this ecumenical movement, the Word of God says to you today, “Come out of Babylon”. It says “From such withdraw thyself. Can two walk together except they be agreed?” Child of God, you have no business being in a church that is reversing the Reformation.

You have no business supporting it by your presence or by putting your finance into the offering, because you are helping to build up Mother Babylon. God says come out! If you do not come out of Babylon you will suffer the plagues.

Where would you go? I don’t believe that if you are sincerely looking for somewhere that you will not be able to find it. You can always gather with those of right mind in your own home and read the Scriptures, listen to a cassette recording or a video that can be sent to you. Do not build up Babylon. From such withdraw thyself, stand in the old ways in which your fathers walked.

The foundations have been destroyed, they are pulling down the Reformation, they are seeking to reverse it. You can stand up and be counted!

You can say like Martin Luther, convince me by the Word of God and if you can’t convince me here I stand; I can do no other. We should thank God every day, because He has not left Himself without a witness here in the very centre of Royal London, the capital of our Great Israel nation. God has kept the doors of this little church open for the preaching of the Truth and the standing for these things most surely believed amongst us.

Never let these doors be closed, and never let a ritualist or a Romaniser or moderniser come to preach here, because God has preserved this place as a witness. Others might laugh at you and ridicule you and say look how small they are! Isn’t that what they did to Nehemiah?

“Why look at those walls in Jerusalem you are building! You are so weak that a fox could blow it down!” They tried everything to discourage him and what did he do? He kept right on building, with his weapons of warfare in one hand and his building tools in the other hand and he stood firm and God restored Jerusalem.

We need to stand for a correct view of Bible prophecy. So much harm has been done by false views on prophecy, by going astray on this essential matter much damage has been done.

People say to me that prophecy is a non-essential, it is an add-on, it is an optional extra. We don’t differentiate in this, we would not break fellowship on this, it doesn’t matter what you believe, whether you’re a dispensationalist, futurist or a praeterist or something else. But it does matter because your view of prophecy will affect how you view other things, it will affect your religious viewpoint, your spiritual viewpoint and it will also affect, if you have one, a political viewpoint, or an international viewpoint.

What you believe in prophecy will determine what you think about the recent war in the Gulf and the support we give to Zionist Israeli. What you believe about prophecy will influence how you feel about the rising United States of Europe and the loss of Britain’s national sovereignty too. What you believe in concerted Bible prophecy would determine how you would view the Roman Catholic Church system.

So it is not some unimportant matter, it is a matter of vital importance. In Revelation chapter 19:10 we read,

And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto him, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: (now mark this) for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy, it is not a minor issue! Perhaps up to fifty per cent of the whole of sacred Scripture is Bible Prophecy; much of it is already fulfilled. A little remains to come to completion, but if we do not understand it correctly we will most certainly err.

I believe personally that we do not even have a fully correct understanding of God’s ultimate plan to restore His creation and for the Lord Jesus to come back and rule on planet Earth.

We in this church and in this movement are Historicist in our interpretation of Bible Prophecy. We stand where the Reformers stood, we believe that the prophecies of God’s Word, that, primarily, the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation have been and are being historically fulfilled.

The Angel said to John in Revelation chapter 1, “I am going to show you things that will shortly come to pass”. That was in A.D.96 when John was in exile on the island of Patmos in the Aegean Sea; he was there for the witness of Jesus and the Word of God. “Shortly come to pass”, and from John’s day until now the book of Revelation has been fulfilled historically. We have seen the riders on the White Horses come across the stage of World history in the days of ancient Rome. We have seen the Trumpet judgements poured out upon the Roman earth of prophecy. We see in chapter 9 the rise and fall of Islam. We see in chapter 10 the Reformation story, the Angel with the little book. We see in chapter 11 the Two Witnesses – Israel and the Church, the martyrdoms, the measuring of the church with the measuring rod of Scripture, to bring it back into the place it should be. We see the sun-clothed woman, Israel, fly with the wings of an eagle into the wilderness, identified in chapter 12.

We see the Roman Church beast system in all of its hideous cruelty and wickedness portrayed in chapter 13.We see the overcoming body in chapters 14 and 15. We see the vials of God’s judgement poured out, beginning with the French Revolution, right up to World War I in Chapter 16.

We are now in chapters 17and 18. Babylon is about to fall.

What is the other point of view? There are people called Praeterists who believe all prophecy is over and done and everything in Revelation was fulfilled in the days of Nero and the Roman Empire. To do that they have to move John’s imprisonment on Patmos back thirty odd years and say he wrote this in the first sixty years of the AD era. So they believe that all prophecy is finished and it is a closed book. Once people believe that, they do not see what is happening round about us today. Praeterism is no longer so popular.

There is another school of thought called Futurism. It has a grip on most Evangelical Fundamentalist Christians today. They believe that soon the Lord Jesus will come back secretly and snatch them out; they call it the Secret Rapture. There is a whole series of novels on it now. Religious fiction, called “Left Behind”. And when they are safely away in Heaven playing on their harps and floating on clouds, there will come a one man dictator who, they say, is the Anti-Christ. Some of them say he is a Jew, some an atheist. I have a new book that says that he is a Moslem. He is going to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem, make a treaty with the Jews, break it after three and a half years, and initiate an awful time of blood letting and persecution called the Great Tribulation.

That is as much fairy tale and fiction as you can get today. Where did Futurism have its origin? Where did Praeterism have its origin? In the writings of the Jesuit priests of Rome, and why did they think up these schools of prophecy? Because Historicism identified the Little Horn of Daniel and the Scarlet Woman of Revelation as being the Church of Rome and its dynasty of Anti-Christ Popes.

So many people were coming out of Rome that the Jesuits thought up these fictions. If you follow those two schools of prophecy you are following Jesuit theories thought up to take the heat off Rome.

The two basic beliefs of the Reformation are “Justification by Faith” in the unique and finished work of Christ, and the reformers with unity of heart and voice-Luther, Calvin, Knox, all of them believed what I have just told you concerning popery. When they preached Salvation the people came out of Rome because they saw from prophecy it was the Babylon of Scripture.

Today the Charismatics tell us they can stay in Rome, they can manifest supposed spiritual gifts, yet still continue in Rome’s errors. Where does it come from? It comes from a deliberate lying interpretation of prophecy.

In regard to the return of the Lord Jesus, we believe in the pre-millennial coming of Christ. We believe that world conditions will become so bad that unless Jesus returns as He promised, no flesh would be left alive!

But He will come; His blessed feet will stand on the Mount of Olives and He will destroy the wicked. They will be as ashes under the soles of our feet, and He will initiate His Kingdom reign, the Great Millennium reign of a thousand years, which then will go on into eternity. He will rule as King of kings and Lord of lords.

But there are dangerous doctrines abroad today. Some who call themselves reformed are amillennialists (that means they don’t believe in any millennium at all). But even more dangerous is the teaching of post-millennialism, which says that we are in the kingdom now, that Christians can build the kingdom that we can take dominion and we’ll have it already when Jesus comes back. That is a false and defective view of prophecy.

Everybody who has tried to build the kingdom up to now has failed, because the parable teaching of the Lord Jesus clearly likens Him to a certain noble man who returns to a far country, the glory of Heaven, to do what? To receive a Kingdom and to return. The Lord is not coming back to something human beings have established, He is coming back to receive us and to establish the Kingdom. How could I be in the Kingdom now when the Word of God teaches me that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom? And I’ll not be in any kingdom, and neither will you when Jesus Christ comes back, for we are changed in a moment in a twinkling of an eye, we put on immortality and incorruption and rule and reign with Him for ever.

There’s something else we need to understand about prophecy. You cannot understand prophecy unless you rightly identify the nations. As with a jigsaw puzzle, you must get the right pieces. You need to know who the nations are.

If you do not know who Israel is, and Israel is the nation and company of nations upon which all prophecy centres, you will not be able to rightly divide the Word of God concerning end time events. Israel is not the tiny Zionist State in that little stretch of ground over there in Palestine that everybody is fighting over. Even the Jews themselves in two letters from the chief Rabbis of the Commonwealth that are contained in books on our book shelves will testify. They only claim to be a remnant of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi, and confess that the other tribes are somewhere on the earth today.

We know the House of Joseph is yet alive. Ephraim and Manasseh are revealed for all to see. The Great Christian republic of prophecy, the United States of America and the Great Company, the Empire and Commonwealth of Nations, the British people, the Celto-Anglo-Saxon, Dutch, Scandinavian and related peoples are the Israel of God this day, revealed by the Spirit of God for those with eyes to see.

Only in rightly identified Israel can we rightly interpret the prophecies of the Word of God, and it is because we err in this that great trouble is upon us.

When I was in America a month or so ago, the President had sent to a man called Jack Van Empy. Van Empy is a futurist preacher on television, and poor George Bush sent to him and asked him to draw him up a document of what’s going to happen next in World events. And Van Empy has prepared six hundred pages of it.

Can you imagine it? The Rapture, the Tribulation, the one-man Anti-Christ, the rebuilt temple, the Jews being all Israel. Can you imagine the President getting that and believing that it is Gospel truth. Can you see how dangerous it is? We must stand for the correct view of Bible Prophecy. Psalm 119:46-48:

I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not he ashamed. And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved. My hands also will lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

The Word of God says in another place

“‘The law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul, the statutes of the Law are pure and righteous altogether, more to be desired are they than gold even much fine gold.”

What shall the righteous do? They will stand for the Commandments and the Law of God. However, so many Christians will say “Don’t you know that the Law is done away with? Don’t you know we are under grace?” Every time I preach I seem to have to tell people this -The opposite of Law is not Grace, the opposite of Law is lawlessness!

Why are we in a lawless society, why have we got crime, why have we murder, drug addiction, why are the streets not safe for old people and little children? Because the Law of God is ignored. Because we coddle the murderers today, we allow the unborn to be murdered in the womb, but we don’t allow the murderer to be put to death as the Scripture teaches.

We have upended the Law of God and put every form of wicked, vile legislation upon the statute book. Britain needs to repent, right from the Royal House and Government down. The Queen needs to cancel every wicked bill she ever allowed to be put into Law. God’s law must become the law of this tainted nation once again. We must stand for the Law and the Commandments of our God, because if God’s Commandments were kept in this land today we would be a blessed people.

Happy is the people whose God is the Lord of His kingdom. But because we have put aside God’s Law and trampled it under foot, and considered it to be a light thing, Britain is under judgement today. So is every other Anglo-Saxon-Celtic nation, because we have turned our faces from God and the keeping of His Law.

The Word of God says,

“I delight myself, I lift up my hands unto your law, I meditate in your statutes day and night”.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

Be not conformed to this world. Now you know what has happened, the last generation, the church, has conformed to the world. We have accepted the world’s standards. We have done this in order to interest the young people. They have been allowed to dress as if they were going to a disco, and to behave as if they were in a place of entertainment, not a place of worship. A generation ago there were sermons about temperance and total abstinence. I am not presuming to tell you what you can dress in, where you can go, what you can do. But here is a simple test: if Jesus came today would you want to be found in some of the places people go to, or would you be ashamed? Would you want to be dressed in the way some people dress if Jesus came?

Think about these things.

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Revelation 3:11

What are the righteous to do when the foundations have been destroyed? We are to contend, (Timothy) in the things we have been taught, we have to stand up and be counted, we have to hold fast. We have not to be conformed to the ways of the world, not to let the yoke of bondage be placed upon us again.

Stop worrying about what the wicked are doing out there, because you cannot yet make them do what we want them to. Only the spirit of God can move upon them. But the questions are not asked what will the wicked do. The questions are asked, when the foundations be destroyed what are you going to do? What am I going to do? We are going to do everything we have heard today, and that is the divine recipe for success. If God’s people would follow that, (not the ways of the world with its gimmicks and suggestions), if we would do that we would see the hand of God move on our behalf.
